Matthew 5:10-23

The passage immediately following the Beatitudes including the blessing for those who are persecuted for living in the way of the gospel (righteousness). I particularly like the verse, “You are the light of the world” (14). There is so much darkness in this world: misery; pain; hunger; inadequate provision in welfare, medicine and education; economic exploitation and much, much more that diminishes humanity and robs us of joy and peace.

You are the light that will challenge that darkness in the name of Christ who is the ‘Light of the World’

Have a good day

Thank you so much for the delightful and uplifting Order of St John service today.
A very fitting and appropriate way to celebrate our patron

We just wanted to thank you for the wonderful service today for the members of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem, Knights Hospitaller. It was lovely for us all to be together again if only for a short time and in the virtual world. Our cousins in Brisbane watched it also and thought it was marvellous - certainly put Scotland on the map !

Thank you Tom for organising today's event, allowing us to celebrate our Patron Saint in this way. We all look forward to you ministering to the Order in person at the next one.!
