Proverbs 3:5-12
Back to proverbs in the Old Testament. If you want to continue yesterday’s reading from Acts 7 to the end of the chapter please feel free to do so because that is the New Testament lesson for today but I thought I would go back to Proverbs, the Old Testament lesson for today. You will recall we had a look at chapter 9 last week.
The writer, in today’s reading, is telling the young person, or maybe not so young, that in honouring God and living by His way we find blessings. It may be difficult at times and it may demand a great deal but it is because God loves us as a parent does a child that he sets us out on this difficult road: He wants us to mature and live lives that are good and healthy.
