Philippians 4:10-15
Paul is giving thanks to God for the kindness of the Philippians: they have supported his ministry in various places but recently had not sent support. He understands this was because of circumstances beyond them but now again they have sent financial support with Epaphroditus. He tells them he has become content (self-sufficient) in many ways but is glad of their continuing generosity not just because it helps him but shows they have kept faith with Christ and shared what they have with those proclaiming the gospel. In giving to Paul they are indeed serving Christ’s cause hence his joy.
