1st Corinthians 6:1-11
This little piece is not so much about distrust of the secular legal system (in the Roman Empire) but rather the fact that two Christians could not agree or find someone within the faith community to settle their dispute amicably. The Christian is called to work toward reconciliation of conflict not perpetuate it thus allowing grievance to be added to the original hurt. He states this because the community has been sanctified by the power of the Holy Spirit.
