2nd Corinthians 13:5-10
Paul has faced all sorts of criticisms from some of the Christian community in Corinth and has for a fair chunk of the time had to defend his claim to apostleship. He is turning the tables on this criticism by suggesting they have a look at themselves to see if the life of Christ is manifest in their living and if it isn’t they should reflect on that. He tells them he is doing this from a distance to give them an opportunity to resolve any issues before he arrives.
