Acts 14:19-28
There was a real problem for the early church as they tried to work out the relationship between the Jewish and the Gentile Christians. Did converts to Christianity have to go through the process of first becoming a Jew? There was also the problem of Jewish people resenting what Paul was doing as a former Jew. This led to tension, violence on occasion and difficult relationships but through it all Paul argued that God was for all people not just His ancient chosen people. Chapter 15 of Acts resolves the issue for most.
