When I was a child growing up in Glasgow, my Mum used to say when seagulls flew inland it was a sign of bad weather coming. Now, I can't answer to that, but what I can say is there are a couple of seagulls which seem to have "moved in" to our gardens here!
Every morning, their squawking starts early; it continues for quite a while, then they seem to hoot or laugh loudly as though sharing a joke which only seagulls can understand then fly off! All I can say is that I wish they would do it a bit later in the morning, and let me get a bit more sleep!!
