Hi All ;
I came across this photo late last night by pleasant surprise and accident. In fact I had forgotten taking it ; it popped up in Google photos that was ready !
You will see it was at the beginning of an unfortunate rainy morning of Saturday 7th March - just over a month ago ( although I don't think rained all the time ) of the pop up charity shop event ; Can't believe how out lives and church activities have changed and adjusted. When the church had so many other things planned. That day will be memorable for bringing people together , for people discarding with things having chat over coffee and home - baking and most of all raising and donating money to the hospice that we have links with. Thanks go to Mags and her team .
Not long after in our church calendar we managed hold the Community Quiz afternoon where a number of people got together for a fun afternoon of searching our brains and chat both raising money for the Hospice . Thanks again to Ruth again and the members of the Outreach Mission and Community committee for planning and arranging both events where we got together; gave and on 14th March at Quiz learned a bit of the work of the Hospice.
Look again at the photo .... we can think of it as a welcome open door to others in the future to many events to people in our community such as monthly Soup and Chat .
After thinking and looking closer to to me from the shape of the door I got the image of the large stone at door way in the Easter story.....is it saying anything to you ?
Hope yiu enjoy reading this and look out for more memories looking back with photos.
