Welcome to the Young Church info page. Young Church is what we call the activities for our children and young people on a Sunday morning during the service. We do a whole bunch of different things throughout the year, including but not limited to games (both of the quiet and running around varieties); Bible stories; chat and discussion (about life, the Bible and just about everything); crafts (both clean and simple AND complex and messy!); baking (occasionally); eating food (quite often - who doesn't like a mini-party?!) and generally making friends and hanging out.
We welcome any child - regardless of their church background - aged three and upwards. We currently have children and young people of all sorts of ages coming along, so there are surrogate big brothers and sisters aplenty!
At the moment, we are working our way through "What's In the Bible?" - a super fun, slightly silly and always informative DVD series featuring songs, puppets and stories galore. We'd love to have you join us.
We now have a big slot in the Morning Service on the last Sunday in the month. As well as the Readings from the bible we now help with the Welcome Team at the front door; we take in the offerings with the Welcome Team again; we say the prayers of Intercession (our prayers for other people) and the Thanksgiving Prayer, asking God to bless our offerings. If you consider Robert plays the organ for part of the Service we are doing a fair chunk of the work. Won't be long before we can give Tom the morning off.
