Potential Car Lift Rota
As we come together as one congregation across a wider area, we are aware that some members do not drive but would like to attend worship regularly. To help make this easier, we are exploring the possibility of establishing a car lift rota, with volunteer drivers offering transport to and from church.
If enough drivers are available, the aim would be for each volunteer driver to collect and take home up to two people who live reasonably close to one another, on a rota basis, so that no one driver is required every week.
At this stage, we are looking for people who:
• Need a lift to church
• Are willing to be volunteer drivers
Participants would need to provide their contact details (telephone number and, ideally, email address). Those requiring transport would also need to provide their home address. Volunteer drivers would be asked to provide details of their vehicle (make, model, colour and registration number) so that passengers can easily identify them.
Please note that you must be willing for this information to be shared with those involved in the rota so that arrangements can be made.
